Joy S:
Greetings and a big Thank You All for being who you are. You make "going to the Doctor" ( Cardiologist) a wonderfully pleasant and enlightening experience. I count my self "lucky" to have found you and your staff. There are several 'things' that differentiate you and your practice from the rest and I want to tell you how:
- There are no barriers...most offices have walls and sliding glass panels to keep us at a distance, with staff barely willing to acknowledge our presence, much less be helpful
- I was actually greeted by a smiling face, happy to see me, within minutes of opening the front door and by name. (unheard of)
- The attitude of the Doctor and staff is egalitarian...you do not enjoy or find it necessary to maintain the power of the old fashion "DOCTOR -patient relationship i.e., the all-knowing one and the dolt
- As you so compassionately acknowledge...coming for my visits is stressful because of my cardiovascular conditions, I try not to, but I worry about the next set of tests and results. You and your staff ease my fears and work hard at making me feel comfortable and at home.
- There are no silly little gowns we are asked to wear, that expose our bottoms. When I did use a gown it was generous and respectful.
- I was shown to my own private room, where I could read, make calls and just relax. In fact I even feel asleep.
- Education....wow. I ask questions and a lot of them and get answers. I have never felt like I was working against a time clock. You and your staff always take time and I never feel like $$ is more important than I am.
- Over the past years, I have had to telephone for help after hours, you called me back within minutes. That was important for someone very worried.
- Inspite of my medical problems. I am not only surviving, but thriving with your help. I continue to grow our business and as Chief Operating Officer, I was able to double our revenues last year, I enjoy life one day at a time, on purpose and to its fullest. Thanks for caring so much.
